I was browsing the USA Today headlines on my iPhone. One item that caught my attention read: “Danica Finishes Strong at Michigan”. I thought, “Wow, she must have come in like 4th maybe even 3rd place.” I read the article. Apparently Mike Hembree, the article’s author and USA Today are of the opinion that finishing 13th is somehow strong. I admit that I don’t know a whole lot about NASCAR. I’m pretty sure however that there isn’t a sport on the planet who’s participants would consider 13th a strong finish. I think USA Today has fallen victim to what I call “The Danica Syndrome”. Rankin was given a free-hand in imagining and creating a modern/artistic interpretation of the “old lady” of Ecstasy. One of the things I enjoy about the music industry is that you never know from day-to-day who’s going to walk through the door. On this particular day Amber Cosich showed up. She had been invited to do some singing on a track one of my producer friends was working on. The studio session, as they often do, was running far behind schedule so she didn’t actually do much vocal work. She did however manage to turn more than a few heads during her visit. Being the resourceful man that I am, I decided to take advantage of the down-time. I asked Amber to share a bit of herself in the form of an interview and photo shoot. Luckily she agreed.
