Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in X-Men First Class

Hey, apologies for the bad link. It seems to have violated FOX’s copyright. I hate to bait and switch, but here’s a trailer preview and some pics as a consolation offering.

But while were on the topic of Jennifer Lawrence I’ll mention that I can’t wait until Hunger Games comes out. My excitement has nothing to do with the fact that the lovely Ms. Lawrence will be staring. I caught the flu a few months ago and found myself going crazy sitting in the house waiting to feel better. I decided to download a book to read on my iPad as a way to kill time. I had never heard of The Hunger Games but it was one of the top sellers on Amazon. After scanning the synopsis, something about dystopian society blah, blah etc, I hit the buy button.

Book reviews are not really my lane, but I will say that The Hunger Games is one barn-burning piece of modern literature. As sick as I was, I stayed up the entire night and most of the next day reading until I finished. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. Days, even weeks later I was going over different scenes in my head while contemplating author Suzanne Collins’ wild vision of our future.

Later I was extremely elated to find out that a movie would be made based on the novel. To say that this film is highly anticipated by the public is an understatement. The trailer alone already has over five million views. The fact the talented Jennifer Lawrence is the star and heroine is icing on the cake.

Do yourself a favor and read The Hunger Games.
